1. How I yearned to dive in the sea of poetry
To glean a pearl for praising Al-Mustafa that would please him

2. And it is as if the pearl laughs saying:
How can I, the likes of me, praise the one He prohibited?

3. So Allah elevated his worth above all of creation
And Allah endowed him with the greatest character

4. All poetry bows to the one
Whom the Lord of all that exists adorned with attributes

5. And upon him our Lord revealed His Quran
Glorious is the Book and glorious is the One who inspired it

6. In Surat Al-A'raf is a constitution for us
Regarding the person of the best of all people, we see him in it

7. Take your Lord's pardon and order what is good
Turn away from the ignorant, you will attain His pleasure

8. In Surat At-Tawbah read the last part of the verse
And look at what Allah has given him

9. He is the Compassionate, He is the Merciful, and our Lord
Named him with two of His names

10. In Surat Al-Hijr our Lord swears by His life
By your life, they are truly misguided and lost

11. In Surat Al-Kahf and Ash-Shu’ara {Perhaps you would kill yourself}
It was revealed to alleviate what he received

12. Make it easy on yourself, you do not guide those you love
Had your Lord willed, they would have been guided by His guidance

13. In Surat Al-Fath, our Lord forgives what came before
Rather what comes later... Glorious is He in His highness

14. To complete His blessing upon the best of all people
And the completion of His blessing upon him is His pleasure

15. In Surat Nun and Al-Qalam, the God exalts him
And has honored him with the greatest character

16. Muhammad attained all generosity
A nobility which the Lord of all gave him

17. Allah, Lord of the Throne expands his chest
Allah constantly elevates his mention

18. And the Generous Master admonishes His beloved
And endowed him with forgiveness before admonishment

19. From Mecca, the land of guidance, He journeyed with him
The Lord of all that exists at night to the farthest place

20. And there he became the imam of all the prophets
Glory to Him who endowed him with virtue

21. Then he ascended beyond this to the final destination
And listen to Gabriel as he whispered to him

22. Swim alone in the seas of light, my master
None but you is for this, never

23. If I preceded, I would have burned in its light
But your destiny, you what I cannot reach

24. Each of us has a rank, my master
That cannot surpass its limit

25. And the Almighty Master addresses His beloved
And called him with the most noble names

26. I have unveiled for you all the worlds
And thus now you see My face

27. I have not created anyone more beloved than you, “Muhammad”
And I will soon give you what you wish

28. This is a rank whose reality is not known
Except by the one who gave it to His beloved

29. A wonder! One with two eyes who sees "Ahmad"
Yet his eyes stray from the light of guidance

30. A wonder! One who heard the beloved “Muhammad”
One day, yet his call did not reach the sky

31. A wonder that this disbelief caused harm to our love
A wonder, he is far from his home

32. A wonder that Mecca, how its men felt confined
With our beloved though the cave gave him refuge

33. A wonder that deaf stone when it appears
With the best of creation, it greets him

34. A wonder that stones glorify their Lord
In his palm, may Allah send blessings upon him

35. And he stands humbly for the Almighty at night
For this his feet became cracked

36. And for our beloved’s sake a full moon split
Appearing as two halves in its highest point

37. And I see the clouds loving him thus shielding him
In any place on earth where he is found

38. The trees of the desert gather to veil him
So our beloved, by Allah lives

39. And the udder of the sheep pours for him generously
And I see fragments of his people shunning him

40. And the best of all people says to his companions
In a situation - who, I wonder, will forget it

41. If I once whipped a brother of ours
Let him take revenge from me, this would please him

42. Our beloved gives fair retribution from himself
Matchless justice – nothing compares to him

43. He gives and gives, his charity is limitless
The sea is but a handful of his bounty

44. He gives without fear of poverty
He is confident in Allah, most high is His sublimity

45. Like an unconstrained wind is our beloved’s charity
All generosity is but some of his benevolence

46. A wonder that hearts go astray from guidance
And a palm tree trunk inclines, nay, loves him

47. And the Chosen One embraces it a caring embrace
Thus the trunk says to those parted: Comfort me

48. And the beloved gives the trunk a choice
Between the greenery of the earth or the next life

49. This trunk chooses the Garden of its Lord
To see the beloved - so its bliss remains

50. While we, afterwards, do not measure up
To be like the trunk - what a pity!

51. The vile people gather to kill him
And he survives - Glory to the One who saved him

52. The eye of God watches over him carefully
He who opposes him fails, by Allah

53. A wonder at the Ansar of the Prophet and their love
To him is the allegiance – none but him has it

54. They went out racing from the houses of Taybah
Their longing for seeing him only increased

55. The herald soon announced glad tidings
The beloved has come, so they rejoiced to meet him

56. The beloved appeared like a full moon is his face
His beauty, by Allah, is most dazzling

57. The light spread in our cities and homes
The brilliance of the universe is but some of its radiance

58. And tongues that deserve to be cut say
He is a magician... He is a liar... Never!

59. A wonder at whoever harmed the Prophet with a word
O Lord, if only You had cut his lips

60. A wonder at whoever harmed the Prophet by his image
Paralyzed by this are his hands

61. "Perish the hands" in it is the retribution of one who transgressed
One day upon the Chosen One or hurt him

62. And he will be given his record in his left hand
His tears flowing in misery – his eyes

63. Severed for their hatred and animosity towards him
The best of mankind remains in His highness

64. Allah protected the beloved “Muhammad”
And from the miserables they mock – enough of him

65. My Lord I have come to you hopeful
For forgiveness from me - will I find it?

66. If You do not forgive, then who can I hope in?
And who is generous except You, my Lord?

67. O my Lord, be merciful to me on Judgment Day
And forgive Your servant what his hands earned

68. By Al-Mustafa, O Lord, complete my joy
Do not deprive me tomorrow of seeing him

69. And make him, O Lord, an intercessor with You
For who will intercede that Day but him?

70. He is the intercessor and the one whose intercession is accepted
Among all people – and who is for this but him?

71. And make him, my master, a treasure for me on Judgment Day
By Allah, the ultimate of my wishes is to see him

72. O Allah, I yearn to look upon his face
My eyes thirst and are satisfied by his light

73. I yearn to melt from the fragrance of “Muhammad”
I yearn to constantly kiss his noble hand

74. I draw nearer on my feet out of longing
For the light of my beloved “Muhammad”, may Allah uplift him

75. Do not deprive me of drinking his Kawthar tomorrow
To remove the thirst of this heart

76. To taste from the palm of the beloved “Muhammad”
A delightful cup - My Lord, how pure!

77. O Lord, I have praised "Muhammad"
Until my heart settles with tranquility

78. Those who praised kings are lost, but I
In praising "Ahmad" my master have found purpose

79. I have dedicated my poems to praise him
For praising him brings honor - nothing equals it

80. O Lord, let my praise of “Muhammad”
Be a light for me in my grave tomorrow when I meet him

81. And on the Bridge... And when the pages are spread
So accept my hope today O Allah

82. O Lord send your prayers upon the beloved “Muhammad”
And gather Your servants under his banner
