أَقصَيْتُموني مِنْ بَعْدِ فرْقتِكُمْ

أَقصَيْتُموني مِنْ بَعْدِ فرْقتِكُمْ

فَخَبِّروني عَلامَ إِقْصائي

فَخَبِّروني عَلامَ إِقْصائي

You have banished me since we parted;

You have estranged me after our separation

So tell me: why have you banished me?

So tell me why you estrange me

عَذَّبني اللّهُ بالصُّدُودِ ولا

عَذَّبني اللّهُ بالصُّدُودِ ولا

فَرَّجَ عَنِّي هُمُومَ بَلْوائي

فَرَّجَ عَنِّي هُمُومَ بَلْوائي

May God torment me with rejection, and never

God has tormented me with rejection, yet

Relieve me of the sorrows of my affliction,

He did not relieve the anxieties of my affliction

إِنْ كُنْتُ أَحْبَبْتُ حُبّكُمْ أَحَداً

إِنْ كُنْتُ أَحْبَبْتُ حُبّكُمْ أَحَداً

أَوْ كانَ ذاكَ الكلامُ مِنْ رائي

أَوْ كانَ ذاكَ الكلامُ مِنْ رائي

If I have loved anyone as I love you,

If it was true that I loved you all

Or if those words came from my own judgment.

Or if those words were my own making

فلا تَصُدُّوا فليسَ ذَا حَسَناً

فلا تَصُدُّوا فليسَ ذَا حَسَناً

أَنْ تُشْمِتُوا بالصُّدودِ أَعْدائي

أَنْ تُشْمِتُوا بالصُّدودِ أَعْدائي

So do not turn away, for it is not right

Then do not reject me for it is not virtuous

To make my enemies gloat by rejecting me.

That my enemies rejoice in your rejection
