لاno أَنتِyou (feminine) لاno بَلْrather عَيْنُthe eye كلِّof every رَقيبِwatcher
لا أَنتِ لا بَلْ عَيْنُ كلِّ رَقيبِ
O watcher's eye, may you drown in the sea of blindness.
The watcher's eye has drowned in the sea of blindness
No—not you alone; no, rather the eye of every watcher.
Neither you, nor any watcher's eye
مَنْwhoever عاشَlived فيin الدُّنياthis world بغيرِwithout حَبيبهِhis beloved
مَنْ عاشَ في الدُّنيا بغيرِ حَبيبهِ
فحياتُهُthen his life فيهاin it حَياةُthe life of غَرِيبِa stranger
فحياتُهُ فيها حَياةُ غَرِيبِ
Whoever lives in this world without his beloved,
Whoever lived in this world without their beloved
Then his life in it is the life of a stranger.
