It will please you that I anger a spiteful foe for your sake,
It will please you that I am angry with you, railing,
And await two terrors: an awaited death,
And awaiting two deaths, expected.
وجانبُand a stretch لَيْلٍof night لَوْif تعلّقُclings قِطْعَةٌa fragment
بقِطْعَةِto a fragment صُبْحٍof dawn لانْثَنَتْit would turn back وهيَwhile it is غَيْهَبُpitch darkness
And a stretch of night—if a fragment of it clung
And a night side - if a piece of it
To a fragment of dawn, that dawn would turn to pitch darkness.
Clung to a piece of dawn, it would bend and disappear.
