إذاif لَمْnot يَكُنْthere is فيin البَيْتِthe house مِلْحٌsalt مُطَيّبٌflavored
إذا لَمْ يَكُنْ في البَيْتِ مِلْحٌ مُطَيّبٌ
وخَلٌّand vinegar وزَيْتٌand oil حَولَaround حُبِّa jar of دَقِيقِflour
وخَلٌّ وزَيْتٌ حَولَ حُبِّ دَقِيقِ
If there is no flavored salt in the house,
If there is no seasoned salt in the house,
nor vinegar and oil around a jar of flour,
And vinegar and oil for the dough of bread,
ولَمْand not يَكُthere is فيin كِيسيmy purse دَراهِمُdirhams جَمّةٌabundant
ولَمْ يَكُ في كِيسي دَراهِمُ جَمّةٌ
تُنَفِّذُfulfill حاجاتيmy needs بِكُلِّin every طَريقِway
تُنَفِّذُ حاجاتي بِكُلِّ طَريقِ
and no abundance of dirhams in my purse
And there are no silver coins in my purse
that fulfill my needs in every way,
To provide for all my needs and roads ahead,
فَرَأْسُthen the head of صَديقيmy friend فيin حِرِthe cunt of امِّthe mother of قَرابتيmy kin
فَرَأْسُ صَديقي في حِرِ امِّ قَرابتي
ورَأْسُand the head of عَدُوِّيmy enemy فيin حِرِthe cunt of امِّthe mother of صَدِيقيmy friend
ورَأْسُ عَدُوِّي في حِرِ امِّ صَدِيقي
then my friend's head is in the cunt of my kin's mother,
Then it's forbidden for a friend to be my kin,
and my enemy's head is in the cunt of my friend's mother.
And forbidden for a foe to be my friend.
