تراكَI wonder, do you تَظُنُّthink فيهِwithin him مَقَرَّa resting place for عُضْوٍa limb
تراكَ تَظُنُّ فيهِ مَقَرَّ عُضْوٍ
يَبيتُspends the night وماwhile not تَغَمّدَهُhaving enveloped it سَقَامُsickness
يَبيتُ وما تَغَمّدَهُ سَقَامُ
I wonder, do you think there is within him a resting place for a limb
You think in him a member's abode
That passes the night without sickness enfolding it?
That lodges though no sickness sheathes it
