And wine, like the scent of musk, its bubbles leap,
Like musk-scented breeze, her robes waft gently,
Like young locusts leaping—wine cooked by the midday heat.
Like honey bees, her tresses flutter airily,

A bride appeared in a safflower-dyed tunic,
The bride appeared in saffron shirt so brightly,
And in a yellow canopy fitted with braces.
In yellow headscarf with cheek-framing frills completely,

The nurses brought her to us on her wedding day,
The bridesmaids brought her on her wedding day,
Led to us in bridal procession from the cheeks of the winepresses.
To us from presses of the wine-makers cheerily.
