ونَمْدَحُ أَقْواماً سِواكَ وإِنّما

ونَمْدَحُ أَقْواماً سِواكَ وإِنّما

إليكَ نُسَدِّيهِ وفيكَ نُزَخْرِفُهْ

إليكَ نُسَدِّيهِ وفيكَ نُزَخْرِفُهْ

And we praise people other than you, yet only

Though we praise others besides you, yet

for you do we weave that praise, and in your honor embellish it.

'tis to you we address it, and you we adorn it with.
