ذكرتُ به عهداً كأنْ لم أفُزْ به

ذكرتُ به عهداً كأنْ لم أفُزْ به

وعيشاً كأني كنتُ أقطعه وَثبا

وعيشاً كأني كنتُ أقطعه وَثبا

Through it I recalled a time, as though I had never enjoyed it,

I recall a time as if I never lived it

And a life, as though I had passed through it in leaps.

And a life as if I was cutting it short with a leap
