كأنَّas though سنابلَears of grain حبِّgrain of الحَصيدِthe harvested crop
كأنَّ سنابلَ حبِّ الحَصيدِ
وقدand already شارفتْhave neared حينthe time of إبّانِهاtheir season of ripeness
وقد شارفتْ حين إبّانِها
The ears of the harvest’s grain seem,
As if the wheat stalks of love's harvest
as they near their season of ripeness,
Were nearing their time of ripening
كبائسُclusters مصفورةٌcolored yellow رُبِّعَتْmade four-sided
كبائسُ مصفورةٌ رُبِّعَتْ
وأُراخىَand was loosened فاضلُthe surplus خِيطانِهاof their threads
وأُراخىَ فاضلُ خِيطانِها
like yellow clusters, shaped four-sided,
Are bundled-up wretches arranged
with their surplus threads left loose.
With the excess of their sides let down
