طُلْ وافتخرْ أيها العِنانُ

ما فوقَ ما حُزْتَه مكانُ

Stand tall and boast, O rein!

No rank lies above the one you have attained.

حَوَتْك خمسٌ لهن حُسْنٌ

حَوَتْك خمسٌ لهن حُسْنٌ

للفضلِ في نظمِها افْتِنان

للفضلِ في نظمِها افْتِنان

Five have clasped you, and beauty is theirs;

Excellence displays its artistry in their arrangement:

الأمرُ والنهى في البرايا

الأمرُ والنهى في البرايا

والجود والخوف والأمان

والجود والخوف والأمان

Command and prohibition among humankind,

And generosity, fear, and safety.

تَسابقَ الناسُ للمَعالي

تَسابقَ الناسُ للمَعالي

فصَحَّ للأفضلِ الرِّهان

فصَحَّ للأفضلِ الرِّهان

People raced for lofty honors,

So the stakes rightly went to the best.
