O spreader of justice among nomads and townsfolk,

and remover of oppression from women and men,

you have fashioned, in every virtue, every miracle,

radiant, never before known in a mortal.

They surpassed every created being; even the least of them

fills time, the earth, and the annals.

And God fashioned you in form and character

to fill hearts, hearing, and sight.

O best of humankind, you have been given no title

without your deeds surpassing it; so take pride!

When you were called Shahanshah, it was not acknowledged

by kings out of ignorance or delusion.

Rather, they saw honor in acknowledgment, which for them

is security more exalted than denial and danger.

People marvel at reports of you; yet where

you are known firsthand, reports are no longer needed.

O great tree of the highest ranks, eyes have indeed seen

in you a perfection not found in trees.

You were noble in root and branch, then brought forth

fruit that flourished, ripened, and grew sweet:

each a mighty lord of Juyushi lineage, who has become

like the Corner and the Stone in the Kaaba of glory.

The hopes of pilgrims seeking bounty take refuge in him,

disheveled—some circling in pursuit, others making Umrah.

He followed your greatest endeavors; never did

fortune lead him from your trail in any pursuit.

A necklace from which you selected every central jewel,

each lending kingship beauty for the eye and gaze.

You dwelt beside him, making Time fear his onslaught,

until it guarded against him in coming and going.

And lions trembled in their remotest lairs

for fear of him; they sleep only on their guard.

And the lords among kings deemed his majesty immense,

and Time marveled at his worth despite his youth.

You opened the gates of joy for the people through him,

so the wedding celebration in every heart is undiminished.

God be praised for kingship and marriage, now united

with good fortune, secure from reversals!

You scattered gold and silver coins for the people

at the wedding, leaving none without purses of money.

And had you wished for more to scatter for him,

not a star in the sky would have remained unscattered.

May the high honors that have become your home be gladdened

by their ennoblement through a union, pure and unclouded,

until you see among his sons each one adorned

with a crown, a lord of lineages in whom you take delight.

Your lofty commands unleash his resolve,

so it passes no king who is not prostrate in the dust.

So remain safe, and endure in life without end,

inseparable from good fortune, from lifetime to lifetime.
