وذي بَخَرٍ لج في فَسْوةٍ

وذي بَخَرٍ لج في فَسْوةٍ

وكان من الناس في مَحْفِلِ

وكان من الناس في مَحْفِلِ

And a foul-breathed man persisted in his wicked ways,

And a man with foul breath persisted in farting,

And was among the people at his gathering.

And he was among the people at a gathering.

فقالوا له كُفَّ عنا أذاك

فقالوا له كُفَّ عنا أذاك

وإلا تَنَحَّ إلى مَعْزِل

وإلا تَنَحَّ إلى مَعْزِل

So they told him, “Cease your offense,

So they said to him, 'Keep your nuisance away from us,

Or else withdraw to a place apart.”

Or else move off to a secluded place.'

فلما تكلم قالوا له

فلما تكلم قالوا له

أَعِدْنا إلى حالنا الأول

أَعِدْنا إلى حالنا الأول

But when he spoke, they told him,

Then when he spoke, they said to him,

“Restore us to our former state!”

'Restore us to our former state!'
