  1. يُشفى غَليلُكَ في الدِيارِ بِقَدرِ ما

    فاضَت بِها مِن مُقلَتَيكَ سُجومُ

    Your heartache is soothed among the dwellings in proportion to

    the tears that poured there from your eyes.

  2. فَإِذا اِنقَضَت حُرَقُ البُكا عادَ الهَوى

    وَتَرادَفَتكَ مَعَ الهُمومِ هُمومُ

    Then, when the burning pangs of weeping pass, longing returns,

    and, along with your worries, more worries come upon you in succession.
