ما كُنتُ أَحسَبُ أَنَّ الدَهرَ يُمهِلُني

حَتّى أَرى أَحَداً يَهجوهُ لا أَحَدُ

I did not expect that time would grant me respite

Until I see someone criticizing it, no one

إِنّي لَأَعجَبُ مِمَّن في حَقيبَتِهِ

مِنَ المَنِيِّ بُحورٌ كَيفَ لا يَلِدُ

I wonder at him who has in his bag

Torrents of semen, how does he not beget?

فَإِن سَمِعتَ لَهُ نَعتَ القَنا عَبَثاً

فَقَد أَرادَ قَناً لَيسَت لَهُ عُقَدُ
