أَلا فَاِشتَرَوا مِنّي مُلوكَ المُخَرِّمِ

أَلا فَاِشتَرَوا مِنّي مُلوكَ المُخَرِّمِ

أَبِع حَسَناً وَاِبني هِشامٍ بِدِرهَمِ

أَبِع حَسَناً وَاِبني هِشامٍ بِدِرهَمِ

Come, then, buy from me the kings of al-Mukharrim.

O princes who destroy, buy from me

I will sell Hasan and Hisham’s two sons for a dirham,

Sell my beauty and Ibn Hisham's for a dirham

وَأَعطِ رَجاءً فَوقَ ذاكَ زِيادَةً

وَأَعطِ رَجاءً فَوقَ ذاكَ زِيادَةً

وَأَسمَح بِدينارٍ بِغَيرِ تَنَدُّمِ

وَأَسمَح بِدينارٍ بِغَيرِ تَنَدُّمِ

and give Raja as an extra on top of that,

And give Raja more than that as a bonus

and freely add a dinar without regret.

And generously, without regret, give a dinar

فَإِن رُدَّ مِن عَيبٍ عَلَيَّ جَميعُهُم

فَإِن رُدَّ مِن عَيبٍ عَلَيَّ جَميعُهُم

فَلَيسَ يَرُدُّ العَيبَ يَحيى اِبنَ أَكثَمِ

فَلَيسَ يَرُدُّ العَيبَ يَحيى اِبنَ أَكثَمِ

If all of them are returned to me because of a defect,

If they all return me for a fault

yet no defect will send Yahya ibn Aktham back.

The fault cannot be returned, Yahya Son of Aktham
