إِلَيهِ وَيَرجو الشُكرَ مِنّي لَأَحمَقُ
And indeed, a man who has done me a favor through an intercessor
And if a man intercedes for me with an intercessor
with him, and hopes for thanks from me, is surely a fool.
To him, and hopes for thanks from me, he is a fool.
شَفيعَكَyour intercessor فَاِشكُرso thank فيin الحَوائِجِneeds إِنَّهُfor he
شَفيعَكَ فَاِشكُر في الحَوائِجِ إِنَّهُ

So thank your intercessor in matters of need, for he
Thank your intercessor in your needs, for he
shields you from their unpleasantness, while he himself grows worn.
Protects you from their evils, though he is uncreated.
