فَإِذ فاتَ الَّذي فاتَ

فَإِذ فاتَ الَّذي فاتَ

فَكونوا مِن ذَوي الظَرفِ

فَكونوا مِن ذَوي الظَرفِ

So, since what has passed has passed,

be among those of wit and refinement.

وَمُرّوا نَقصِفُ اليَومَ

وَمُرّوا نَقصِفُ اليَومَ

فَإِنّي بائِعٌ خُفّي

فَإِنّي بائِعٌ خُفّي

And come by—let us revel today,

for I am selling my leather boot.
