أَتاحَ لَكَ الهَوى بيضٌ حِسانٌ
سَلَبنَكَthey captivated you بِالعُيونِwith the eyes وَبِالنُحورِand with the throats
سَلَبنَكَ بِالعُيونِ وَبِالنُحورِ
Passion has brought you fair, lovely women,
Fair-skinned beauties have brought you passion;
Who robbed you with their eyes and bosoms.
They captivated you with their eyes and throats.
نَظَرتَyou gazed إِلىat النُحورِthe throats فَكِدتَso you nearly تَقضيdie
نَظَرتَ إِلى النُحورِ فَكِدتَ تَقضي
فَأَولىthen all the more لَوif نَظَرتَyou gazed إِلىat الخُصورِthe waists
فَأَولى لَو نَظَرتَ إِلى الخُصورِ
You gazed upon their bosoms and nearly died—
You gazed at their throats and nearly died;
All the more so, had you gazed upon their waists!
How much more so, had you gazed at their waists!
