وَقَدand already وَرَدَتthey have reached حَوضَthe pool of المَناياdeath صَوادِياthirsty
وَقَد وَرَدَت حَوضَ المَنايا صَوادِيا
So you have grown ashamed to turn the spears back,
So you made the spears ashamed to thrust them back,
when they have come thirsty to the pool of death.
Though they were plunged in the pool of death as invaders.
إِذاwhen الناسُpeople حَلَّواthey adorned بِاللُجَينِwith silver سُيوفَهُمtheir swords
إِذا الناسُ حَلَّوا بِاللُجَينِ سُيوفَهُم

رَدَدتَ السُيوفَ بِالفُلولِ حَوالِيا
When people adorn their swords with silver,
When people unsheathed their swords with evil intention,
you bring the swords back adorned with nicks.
You repelled the swords with remnants of the army all around.

Deeds whose telling never ends;
Efforts whose telling does not fade away,
and accounts of others run out, while these remain as they are.
While other tales expire, and it remains as it is.
