رَأَيتُ أَبا عِمرانَ يَبذُلُ عِرضَهُ

رَأَيتُ أَبا عِمرانَ يَبذُلُ عِرضَهُ

وَخُبزُ أَبي عِمرانَ في أَحرَزِ الحِرزِ

وَخُبزُ أَبي عِمرانَ في أَحرَزِ الحِرزِ

I saw Abu Imran giving away his honor,

I saw Abu Imran offering his honor

while Abu Imran's bread is in the safest stronghold.

While the bread of Abu Imran is in the safest place

يَحِنُّ إِلى جاراتِهِ بَعدَ شِبعِهِ

يَحِنُّ إِلى جاراتِهِ بَعدَ شِبعِهِ

وَجاراتُهُ غَرثى تَحِنُّ إِلى الخُبزِ

وَجاراتُهُ غَرثى تَحِنُّ إِلى الخُبزِ

He yearns for his female neighbors after eating his fill,

He yearns for his neighbors after he's full

while his female neighbors, famished, yearn for bread.

And his neighbors are famished, yearning for bread
