يا نفسُ صبراً فإنَّ اللَه مُطَّلِعٌ

يا نفسُ صبراً فإنَّ اللَه مُطَّلِعٌ

وهو الرّحيمُ الذي عمّت مراحمُهُ

وهو الرّحيمُ الذي عمّت مراحمُهُ

O soul, be patient, for God is watching.

O soul, be patient, for God observes

And he is the Merciful One whose mercies embrace all.

The Merciful One whose mercy encompasses all

ستخرجينَ بروحٍ منه ذي دَسعٍ

ستخرجينَ بروحٍ منه ذي دَسعٍ

يجري فيجزيكَ بالتفريجِ حاكِمُهُ

يجري فيجزيكَ بالتفريجِ حاكِمُهُ

You will emerge with relief from him, rich in bounty;

You will emerge with a spirit from Him, strong

it flows, and its ruler rewards you with deliverance.

His rule will bring you relief

فيغتدي عندهُ المظلومُ مُنتصِفاً

فيغتدي عندهُ المظلومُ مُنتصِفاً

حتّى يلوذَ بهِ مِن بعدُ ظالِمُهُ

حتّى يلوذَ بهِ مِن بعدُ ظالِمُهُ

Thus, in his presence, the wronged one gains justice,

So the oppressed finds justice with Him

until his oppressor afterward seeks refuge in him.

Until even his oppressor takes refuge in Him

فاستنزلي العزَّ من تلقاءِ رأفتهِ

فاستنزلي العزَّ من تلقاءِ رأفتهِ

فعندَ رأفتهِ تأتي عزائِمُهُ

فعندَ رأفتهِ تأتي عزائِمُهُ

So seek to draw down honor from his compassion,

So summon strength from His kindness

for with his compassion come his firm decrees.

For in His kindness come His resolves

وسوفَ يأتيكَ بِرُّ من تلطُّفهِ

وسوفَ يأتيكَ بِرُّ من تلطُّفهِ

كما تُفجَّرُ بالجَدوَى مكارِمُهُ

كما تُفجَّرُ بالجَدوَى مكارِمُهُ

And kindness will come to you from his gentle care,

Goodness will come to you from His gentleness

just as his generous gifts pour forth in bounty.

As by the rain His nobilities gush forth
