ومُبرقعًand a veiled one كالبدرِlike the full moon أبrevealed (first fragment)
ومُبرقعً كالبدرِ أب
دتrevealed (final fragment) فيwithin براقعهِhis veils تمامَهhis fullness
دت في براقعهِ تمامَه
And a veiled one, like the full moon—
his fullness was revealed within his veils.
البدرُthe full moon دانَyielded لوجههِto his face
البدرُ دانَ لوجههِ
عندَat التّباهلِmutual invocation of divine curses فيover الوسامهhandsomeness
عندَ التّباهلِ في الوسامه
The full moon yielded to his face
when they invoked divine judgment over beauty.
وجهُa face كوجهِlike the face of الرّوضِthe meadow أظrevealed (first fragment)
وجهُ كوجهِ الرّوضِ أظ
هرَrevealed (final fragment) قَطرُهُits rain الهاميpouring كِمامهits flower buds
هرَ قَطرُهُ الهامي كِمامه
A face like the meadow's face—
its pouring rain revealed its flower buds.
فذُّpeerless in البهاءِsplendor غداbecame علىupon
فذُّ البهاءِ غدا على
وجهِthe face of البهاءِsplendor الفذّpeerless شامهa beauty spot
وجهِ البهاءِ الفذّ شامه
Peerless in splendor, he became, upon
the face of peerless splendor, a beauty spot.
وجهٌa face تنبّأclaimed prophethood فيin الجماbeauty (first fragment)
وجهٌ تنبّأ في الجما
لِbeauty (final fragment) وفازَand succeeded فيهِtherein بالإمامهin gaining the imamate
لِ وفازَ فيهِ بالإمامه
A face that claimed prophethood in beauty
and won the imamate therein.
شَهِدتbore witness عيونُthe eyes of النّاظريthe beholders (first fragment)
شَهِدت عيونُ النّاظري
نَthe beholders (final fragment) لهfor him بتحقيقِto the confirmation of الزّعامهsupremacy
نَ له بتحقيقِ الزّعامه
The beholders' eyes bore witness
that his supremacy was established.
مِنamong معجزاتِthe miracles of جمالهِhis beauty
مِن معجزاتِ جمالهِ
أقبالُهُhis coming تحتَbeneath الغمامهthe cloud
أقبالُهُ تحتَ الغمامه
Among the miracles of his beauty
is his coming beneath the cloud.
