ظَواعِنَ عَن خُرجِ النُمَيرَةِ غُدوَةً

دَوافِعَ في ذاكَ الخَليطِ المُصَعَّدِ

دَوافِعَ في ذاكَ الخَليطِ المُصَعَّدِ

Women departing from Khurj al-Numayrah early in the morning,

Pressing onward among that company bound for the uplands.

عَليمٌ بِأَعقابِ الأُمورِ بِرَأيِهِ

عَليمٌ بِأَعقابِ الأُمورِ بِرَأيِهِ

كَأَنَّ لَهُ في اليَومِ عَيناً عَلى الغَدِ

كَأَنَّ لَهُ في اليَومِ عَيناً عَلى الغَدِ

Through his judgment, he knows well the outcomes of affairs,

As though today he had an eye on tomorrow.
