وَلَستُand I am not بِثَعلَبٍa fox إِنif كانَarises كَونٌtrouble
وَلَستُ بِثَعلَبٍ إِن كانَ كَونٌ
يَدُسُّthrusts بِرَأسِهِwith its head فيinto كُلِّevery جُحرِburrow
يَدُسُّ بِرَأسِهِ في كُلِّ جُحرِ
And I am no fox, should trouble arise,
I am no fox if there be
Thrusting its head into every burrow.
One who pokes his head in every burrow
