وَكُلُّand every لَجوجٍtenacious one فيin العِناقِclose combat كَأَنَّهاas though she were
وَكُلُّ لَجوجٍ في العِناقِ كَأَنَّها
إِذاwhen اِغتَمَسَتshe plunged فيinto الماءِthe water فَتخاءُa broad-winged eagle كاسِرُfolding its wings to swoop
إِذا اِغتَمَسَت في الماءِ فَتخاءُ كاسِرُ
And each one tenacious in close combat is as though she were,
Every obstinate wave in embrace is as though
when she plunges into the water, a broad-winged eagle swooping down,
When it plunges in water, a frothing breaker
لَهاshe has ناهِضٌa fledgling فيin الوَكرِthe nest قَدalready مَهَدَتshe made a bed لَهُfor him
لَها ناهِضٌ في الوَكرِ قَد مَهَدَت لَهُ
كَماjust as مَهَدَتshe made a bed لِلبَعلِfor the husband حَسناءُa beautiful woman عاقِرُbarren
كَما مَهَدَت لِلبَعلِ حَسناءُ عاقِرُ
with a fledgling in the nest for whom she has made a bed,
It has one rising in the lair who has prepared for him
as a beautiful, barren woman makes a bed for her husband.
As a barren beauty prepared for her husband
