1. Every woman in Al-Qalamriya has become
A raid in which you are the glorious knight

2. What a miserable morning, the morning of those who were warned of it
And what a great conquest, the commander whose order is right

3. For it the clear goblets along with the four-stringed lute as a bonus
In its folds the master of the infidels and the city

4. They said, perhaps mountain cows came
To the stunted palm trees that they pasture or drive away

5. Those mountain cows are the steeds of your army
Soft and rose-colored, adorned and trained

6. From each swimmer her knight flew
As if in the strength of its shoulders a lion

7. The army captures them however far its assistance extends
Like fire that flares up burning all it finds

8. So the horses trampled them in their shelters
And the balconies spotted them and picked them out

9. The necks were freed of chokers if they overpowered
The women, and the young girls were too shy

10. When a father saw his daughter taken captive
He walked saying, except God who can help

11. When they saw you and the sea of death surging
With hot anxiety atop it like foam

12. They prayed to your unsheathed sword and veered
From the cross which facing it they bowed down

13. And their appointment was at that moment fulfilled
So that blood without defender would pour

14. A day of sultry heat on which peace turns black
As if all speech in it was anguished

15. And your sword overflowed in its raid a river
To which souls came to cool off
