حتى يعاني الذي قد جاء يقصده
Withhold your glances from a lovesick man, a companion of ruin,
Stop your staring, my friend, lest you perish
Until he endures what has come seeking him.
Until he feels what has come for him

من أهيف وأسود الغاب ترصده
How can a cat gain anything from me—
How can I escape the fate that awaits me
From a slender-waisted one, while the forest's lions watch him?
From the wolves and the beasts that lurk in the forest
