ياO عارفاًArif (the learned one) سادruled over العلىthe heights فضلهhis excellence
يا عارفاً ساد العلى فضله
فكانand so he became للإسلامfor Islam نعمhow excellent الإمامthe imam
فكان للإسلام نعم الإمام
O Arif, whose excellence has ruled the heights,
O you who know, his merit prevails,
And thus he became an excellent imam for Islam.
Thus for Islam a great imam was he.
هنئتmay you be congratulated فيماin what نلتyou attained منof رتبةٍa rank
هنئت فيما نلت من رتبةٍ
ودمتand may you remain ذاpossessing مجدٍglory رفيعlofty المقامthe station
ودمت ذا مجدٍ رفيع المقام
Congratulations on the rank you have attained,
Congratulations for the rank you gained,
And may you remain glorious, lofty in station.
May you remain of high renown and fame.
بشرىglad tidings لكلfor all الناسthe people تاريخهاits chronogram
بشرى لكل الناس تاريخها
لقدindeed بداhas appeared حكمتHikmet مفتيmufti الأنامhumankind
لقد بدا حكمت مفتي الأنام
Glad tidings for all people—its chronogram reads:
Good tidings to all whose date it is,
Indeed, Hikmet has appeared as the mufti of humankind.
Indeed the Mufti of Mankind's rule began.
