سقيت ندى الغفران يا لحد يوسفٍ

سقيت ندى الغفران يا لحد يوسفٍ

بهتّان رحماتٍ من العفو يوكف

بهتّان رحماتٍ من العفو يوكف

May you be watered with the dew of forgiveness, O tomb of Yusuf,

I watered the dew of forgiveness, O tomb of Joseph

With a downpour of mercies raining down from pardon.

With floods of mercies of pardon that suffice

لقد حلّ فيه راقداً نعم مفردٌ

لقد حلّ فيه راقداً نعم مفردٌ

وأبقى لنا دمعاً يصبُّ ويذرف

وأبقى لنا دمعاً يصبُّ ويذرف

Indeed, an excellent, peerless man has come to rest within it,

He who settled in it asleep, bliss of solitude

And left us tears that pour forth and are shed.

And left for us a tear that pours and drips

وأمسى بعيداً عن ديار فنيّةٍ

وأمسى بعيداً عن ديار فنيّةٍ

فاصبح في الفردوس من يسرى ويهتف

فاصبح في الفردوس من يسرى ويهتف

And he became far removed from perishable abodes,

And passed the evening far from the lands of Fenny

So in Paradise he became one who journeys by night and calls out.

So he woke up in Paradise calling and cheering

ونال برضوان الإله محلةً

ونال برضوان الإله محلةً

تميل لها الأبرار شوقاً وتعطف

تميل لها الأبرار شوقاً وتعطف

And through God's good pleasure he gained a dwelling

And got, with the approval of God, a place

Toward which the righteous incline with longing and turn.

The righteous covet and show affection

ولما بدا في جنة الخلد أرخوا

ولما بدا في جنة الخلد أرخوا

فضاءَ باخلاط الملائك يوسف

فضاءَ باخلاط الملائك يوسف

And when he appeared in the Garden of Eternity, they recorded the date:

And when he appeared in the Garden of Eternity they named

And Yusuf shone amid the throngs of angels.
