بدعائمupon pillars الإيمانfaith فهيso it is موطدهfirmly established
بدعائم الإيمان فهي موطده
Kiss the dawnings of a blessed church;
Before the auspicious reading of allegiance
upon the pillars of faith it is firmly established.
With the pillars of faith it is strengthened
تهديoffers التقىpiety للساجدينto those who prostrate بظلهاin its shade
تهدي التقى للساجدين بظلها
وبسرهاand through its mystery القدوسmost holy فهيso it is مؤيدهupheld
وبسرها القدوس فهي مؤيده
It offers piety to those who prostrate in its shade,
It guides the pious with its shade
and through its most holy mystery it is upheld.
And with its sacred secret it is supported
وبهمةand through the zeal المطرانthe bishop عبدAbd (servant of) اللهAllah (God) منwho
وبهمة المطران عبد الله من
اضحىhas become بليبلهاits little nightingale الصدوحmelodious مشيدهbuilt
اضحى بليبلها الصدوح مشيده
And through the zeal of Bishop Abd Allah, who
And with the zeal of Metropolitan Abdallah
has become its melodious little nightingale, it is built.
Who made its sincere dawn shine
يشدوhe sings بطالعهاof its rising السعيدauspicious مؤرخاmarking its date
يشدو بطالعها السعيد مؤرخا
صدقproved true الهدىguidance ضاءتit shone بنورwith the light of السيدهthe Lady
صدق الهدى ضاءت بنور السيده
He sings of its auspicious rising, marking its date:
He sings of its happy rising, chronicling
Guidance proved true; it shone with the Lady's light.
The truth of guidance shone with the light of the Lady
