God be praised for a radiant hawk! Fashioned are
God has a gray mare whose eyes are made of rubies and coral
Her eyes from rubies and coral.

Her neck gleaming, she has emerged from her moult,
It wanders in my gown of beauty and benevolence
Strutting in the two mantles of beauty and excellence.
Its dawn-like chest and pre-dawn wings as dark as night

She has from dawn a radiant breast, and likewise,
A shooting star, its beak bloodied from one with no armor
From the darkness just before dawn, two wings.
Its master, the herald of good news, continues to be adorned

She is ash-gray and sharp-beaked; her palm
With the highest glory and stature
Is dyed with blood from the partridge clan.
And it remains in his service, for as long as the leaves sing songs atop the branches

And may eminence ever be his handmaid,
As long as the cooing dove sings above the boughs.
