My dear son Labella has come to rest within this grave—
A young son of Abila has come to rest in this grave,
perceptive, intelligent, a poet keen of insight.
Perceptive, intelligent, a poet, keenly discerning.

And when he died, “Enjoy bliss!” was proclaimed as a chronogram;
And when he died, he was called to with a chronogram: “Enjoy bliss,
and attain joy in the Garden of Eternity, George!
And attain joy in the garden of eternity, Jirjis!”
