  1. قد أشهرت تحت حواريت بيض ظبا

    شهب البزاة وهزت فوقها اسلا

    Beneath white ḥawārīt [unclear], blades have been unsheathed

    by the ash-grey hawks, which brandished spears above them.

  2. جالت وقد فتكت بالصيد قانصة

    من آل حجلان ركباً عدهم أفلا

    They ranged, having slaughtered the game, hunting

    a troop from the house of Hajlan—reckon them young camels [uncertain reading].
