حسناً ويخجل منه الشمس إشراقُ

A radiance outshining the moon has risen

In the garden of his cheek, the ruby is ablaze;
In his garden, rubies blaze
In his mouth, pearls are radiant and sparkling.

Do not marvel if my eye weeps pearls for him,
Do not wonder if my eyes rain down pearls for him
Or eyes pour forth a downpour of coral.
Or send down a torrent of coral from their clouds

What has been said is true, as my eyelids witness
When he smiles, the eye is indeed an inveterate thief.
When he smiles, eyes will surely steal
