A servant came to the door, seeking leave from
A servant came to the door, begging leave
A master who had previously lavished his bounty upon me,
Of a master who had granted me his bounty before,
كيماso that أمثلI may stand فيin المقامthe presence مقبّلاًkissing
كيما أمثل في المقام مقبّلاً
ذيلاًa hem يجرُّhe trails علupon المجرّةthe Milky Way ذيلهhis hem
ذيلاً يجرُّ عل المجرّة ذيله
So that I may stand in his presence, kissing
That I might stand in this place, kissing
A hem—his hem, which he trails across the Milky Way.
The hem which drags across the galaxy its train.
