يهنيك يا ذا المجد والافضال

في خلعة الأعنام والإجلال

Congratulations to you, O possessor of glory and bounty,

on this robe of favor and honor.

ولك المنا والفوز يا من في سما

أوج السعادة راقياً متعالي

Yours be fulfilled hopes and triumph, O you who, in the heavens,

ascend, exalted, to the summit of happiness.

قد أشرقت رتب العلى وتفاخرت

بسنا شهاب سعودك المتلالي

The ranks of eminence have shone and vied in pride,

in the radiance of the gleaming meteor of your good fortune.

وسمت ربوع العزا منا مذ حبت

بشرى التهاني سائر الأطلال

And our abodes of glory rose when

glad tidings of congratulations graced all the ruins.

وروى الصفاء عن الهناء مسرّة

تهدى بنصر السيد الرئبال

And serenity related, on happiness's authority, a delight

offered through the victory of the lord, the lion.

نعم الأمير أبو المحامد والثنا

القاسم الأعداء والأموال

How excellent a prince, father of praiseworthy deeds and acclaim—

Qasim, who cleaves enemies and shares out wealth!

شبل سليل غضنفر ذو همة

تسطو على الآساد والأشبال

A lion cub, offspring of a mighty lion, endowed with resolve

that overpowers lions and lion cubs.

باهت بك العلياء ثم تمايلت

بثنا أبيك تجر بالأذيال

Exalted glory boasted of you, then swayed proudly,

at the praise of your father, trailing its skirts.

مولى به الشرف الرفيع موطّد

بمواهب جلّت عن التمثال

A lord through whom lofty honor is firmly established,

through gifts surpassing all comparison.

ذو باتر تخشى الأسود فرنده

يسقيه أن يظمى دما الأبطال

Possessor of a keen sword whose watered steel lions fear;

he gives it heroes' blood to drink, lest it thirst.

فهو الذي ملأ الأنام مهابة

وحبا الورى نعما بفيض نوال

For he is the one who filled humankind with awe,

and bestowed blessings on humanity with overflowing bounty.

بدر الأماجد والأكابر سيد

قد جاءنا بمآثر الإقبال

The full moon among the illustrious and the great, a lord

who has come to us with the noble deeds of good fortune.

قد فاخر العدل السني بحكمه

ونشا بمحم قوله الفصّال

Resplendent justice has gloried in his rule,

and flourished through the [firmness] of his decisive words.

للَه درك من همام قاسم

شهم يفوق محاسن الأمثال

How admirable you are, valiant Qasim,

a noble-hearted man surpassing the virtues of his peers!

كابيه جاء وليس بدعا كونه

متشبها بأبيه في الأحوال

Like his father he came; it is no surprise that he is

like his father in all his ways.

ومهذب فلك المعالي كنهه

يذري السحاب بكفه الهطال

And a refined man whose essence is the sphere of lofty deeds,

scattering clouds with his downpouring palm.

مولى له الخلق الجميل طبيعة

منذ الفطام وحاز كل جمال

A lord to whom beautiful character is natural

since weaning, and who has attained every grace.

ذو فطنة وفراسة وسماحة

ولطافة تزهو بحسن مقال

Possessed of intelligence, discernment, and generosity,

and grace that shines in the beauty of his speech,

وتشيد المجد البهي يفضله

لما توشح ثوب نصر غالي

and builds splendid glory, which he surpasses,

when he donned the robe of precious victory.

يا ذا الأمير ابن الأمير أبو الندا

والمالك العليا بحسن خصال

O prince, son of the prince, father of generosity,

and possessor of eminence through fine qualities,

يهنيك فيما حزته وكسبته

من خير حظّ باهي المنوال

may joy be yours in what you have attained and earned

of the finest fortune, splendid in its fashion.

ولك الهناء بخلعة مزفوفة

بسيادة وعناية ومعالي

And yours be joy in a robe of honor borne in procession,

with lordship, favor, and high honors.

دامت لكم وراده بالعز ما

طال الزمان السرمد المتوالي

May its [coming] endure for you in honor, so long as

everlasting, unbroken time continues.

واسلم ودم ما قال ارخ ناشد

دامت لكم بالسعد والإقبال

Stay safe and endure, as long as a reciter says, 'Record the date:'

'May it endure for you in good fortune and prosperity.'
