أحيى الربى بسحا بكف يهتنُ
Indeed, Bashir Shihab, the good fortune of our age,
Al-Bashir Shahab gladdened our time,
revived the hills with a downpour, pouring forth from his hand,
Reviving the land with palms that flourish.
وسقىand watered البطاحthe plains منfrom المياهthe waters جداولاstreams
وسقى البطاح من المياه جداولا
فوَّارهاtheir gushing fountain بصفائهwith its clarity يتزينُis adorned
فوَّارها بصفائه يتزينُ
and watered the plains with streams of water.
He led streams of water to the desert,
Their gushing fountain is adorned with its clarity.
Purifying its springs, adorning it.
فاشربso drink منfrom الماءthe water العذيبsweet مؤرخاrecording the date
فاشرب من الماء العذيب مؤرخا
أجرىmade flow الصفاءpurity لناfor us البشيرBashir المحسنُthe benefactor
أجرى الصفاء لنا البشير المحسنُ
