When I saw how hard it was for me to forget

When I saw Salwa, I lost all hope

you, and the knot of my endurance had come undone,

Of being with you, and my patience came undone

دخلت بالرغم مني تحت طاعتكم

دخلت بالرغم مني تحت طاعتكم

ليقضي الله أمراً كان مفعولا

ليقضي الله أمراً كان مفعولا

I submitted, against my will, to your command,

Despite myself, I submitted to your will

so that God might accomplish a matter destined to be fulfilled.

So God may fulfill what was destined to be done
