May my father be ransom for a sultan of beauty, whose beauty
By my father Sultan Hasan's grace
Has resolved to battle the heart in love.
My heart took to fighting in love's embrace

An eye of his assailed the lovers;
Among lovers I'm one who looks about
It and the sword are equally sharp.
