وانثرand I scatter دُرَّpearls دمعيmy tears فيinto ثُغُورٍmouths
وانثر دُرَّ دمعي في ثُغُورٍ
بهاwithin them عِقدٌa necklace منof الدُّرِّthe pearls النَّظِيمِstrung together
بها عِقدٌ من الدُّرِّ النَّظِيمِ
And I scatter the pearls of my tears into mouths
I scatter the pearls of my tears in cheeks
Within which lies a necklace of strung pearls.
Adorned with a necklace of strung pearls
تبسّمhe smiled عنrevealing يتيمa matchless one; an orphan الدُّرthe pearls مِنْهاfrom among them
تبسّم عن يتيم الدُّر مِنْها
ومنand among عجبthe wonders الهوىlove ضحكlaughter اليتيمِthe orphan
ومن عجب الهوى ضحك اليتيمِ
He smiled, revealing a matchless pearl among them;
The orphan pearl smiled from it
And among love’s wonders is the orphan’s laughter.
And from the wonder of passion the orphan laughed
