خلعت عليه جمالها الأيام

خلعت عليه جمالها الأيام

And a lofty edifice—if it has gained in honor, then indeed

the days have clothed it in their beauty.

هو جامع للحسن إلا أنه

قصر عليه تحية وسلام

قصر عليه تحية وسلام

It gathers beauty together, yet it is

a palace—greetings and peace be upon it.

وعلى العدا من طرسه وبقوسه

وعلى العدا من طرسه وبقوسه

رصدان ضوء الصبح والإظلام

رصدان ضوء الصبح والإظلام

And against the foes, from its parchment and with its bow,

stand two sentinels: dawn's light and darkness.
