لاdo not تُعَذِّبهُtorment him بِالجَفاwith coldness وَالصُدودِand rejection
لا تُعَذِّبهُ بِالجَفا وَالصُدودِ
O beloved of the beloved, may my soul ransom you.
O beloved of the beloved, I would give my soul for you
Do not torment him with coldness and rejection.
Do not torment it with indifference and rejection
أَناI أَولىmore deserving مِنهُthan he بِحَملِof bearing التَجَنّيunjust treatment
أَنا أَولى مِنهُ بِحَملِ التَجَنّي
وَاِمتِلاءِand being filled الأَجفانِthe eyelids بِالتَسهيدِwith sleeplessness
وَاِمتِلاءِ الأَجفانِ بِالتَسهيدِ
I am more deserving than he of bearing unjust treatment,
I am more deserving than it of bearing hardship
And of having my eyelids filled with sleeplessness.
And of eyes brimming over with sleeplessness
