I say, as from afar, from Quba, there shone
I say, though from afar appear
the gleams of fires at Su'ad's encampment:
The gleaming flames of Sa'ad's home -

Let me prolong my gaze with burning longing
Oh, let me linger, burning, here,
toward them, for in that blaze lies my desire.
For in that blaze my wish doth roam.
