I said to the driver, pressing on by night,
I said to the driver pressing onward by night,
as the company made ready to part:
while the company had readied itself for parting:

“O herald of dispersal, you have cheapened my tears!”
“O herald of dispersal, you have cheapened my tears!”
He said to me, “This is how carnelian is sold.”
He said to me, “Thus is agate sold.”
