لا هَبَّ مِنَ الحِمى نَسيمٌ وَسَرى

لا هَبَّ مِنَ الحِمى نَسيمٌ وَسَرى

إِن مَرَّ وَلا يَحمِل نَشراً عَطِرا

إِن مَرَّ وَلا يَحمِل نَشراً عَطِرا

May no breeze blow from the sanctuary and drift by night,

If it passes without carrying a fragrant scent.

وَالنوقُ فَلا سَرَت بِلَيلٍ داجٍ

وَالنوقُ فَلا سَرَت بِلَيلٍ داجٍ

إِن عُدنَ وَلَم يَحمِلنَ مِنكُم خَبَرا

إِن عُدنَ وَلَم يَحمِلنَ مِنكُم خَبَرا

And may the she-camels not journey through a pitch-dark night,

If they return without bringing news from you.
