كأنها في مجال الجود تستبقُ
Your right hand races ahead across the paper,
Your right hand runs on the paper leading,
As though competing in the arena of generosity.
As if competing in the field of generosity.
يحتثَّهاspurs it on الفكرthought طوراًat times والسَّماحand generosity فلاso never
يحتثَّها الفكر طوراً والسَّماح فلا
يزالceases to be مؤتلقradiant منهاfrom it ومندفقand pouring forth
يزال مؤتلق منها ومندفق
Now thought spurs it on, now generosity; thus
Thought urges it at times, and at others, kindness,
From it ever come a gleam and an outpouring.
Still shining and flowing from it.
هذاthis ينيرlights up بهthrough it أفقhorizon البيانeloquence سَناradiance
هذا ينير به أفق البيان سَنا
وذاكand that منهfrom it بنوsons of الآمالhopes ترتزِقdraw sustenance
وذاك منه بنو الآمال ترتزِق
Through the former, a radiance lights the horizon of eloquence,
With this one illuminates the horizons of eloquence,
And from the latter, the sons of hope draw sustenance.
And with that one the sons of hope are sustained.
