يا ربِّ إنّ شفيعي من ذُنوبيَ في

يا ربِّ إنّ شفيعي من ذُنوبيَ في

يومِ القيامةِ خيرُ الخَلقِ والنّسمِ

يومِ القيامةِ خيرُ الخَلقِ والنّسمِ

O Lord, indeed my intercessor for my sins on

O Lord, my intercessor for my sins on

the Day of Resurrection is the best of creation and living souls:

Judgement Day is the best of creation and mankind,

محمدٌ خاتَمُ الرُّسلِ المبلِّغ لل

محمدٌ خاتَمُ الرُّسلِ المبلِّغ لل

دينِ الحَنيفيّ والإسلامِ للأممِ

دينِ الحَنيفيّ والإسلامِ للأممِ

Muhammad, seal of the messengers, who proclaims the

Muhammad, the seal of prophets, the one who conveyed

upright, monotheistic faith and Islam to the nations.

The monotheistic religion and Islam to the nations.

عليه مني صلاةٌ كلّما سجع ال

عليه مني صلاةٌ كلّما سجع ال

حمامُ فوقَ غصونِ البانِ والسّلمِ

حمامُ فوقَ غصونِ البانِ والسّلمِ

Upon him be blessings from me with every coo of the

Blessings upon him from me whenever the doves coo

doves above the boughs of bān and salam trees.

Above the branches of the acacia and plum trees.

وبعدَ ذلك أعدادُ الجبالِ ورم

وبعدَ ذلك أعدادُ الجبالِ ورم

لِ الأرضِ والطّيرِ والحيتانِ والنعم

لِ الأرضِ والطّيرِ والحيتانِ والنعم

And beyond that, as many as the mountains and the sands

And after that, as numerous as the mountains

of the earth, the birds, the fish, and the livestock.

And the sands of the earth, the birds, the whales and the cattle.

كذاك أيضاً سلامي طيِّبٌ عَطرٌ

كذاك أيضاً سلامي طيِّبٌ عَطرٌ

عليه ما قامَ عبدٌ في دُجى الظُّلم

عليه ما قامَ عبدٌ في دُجى الظُّلم

So too, may my sweet, fragrant greetings of peace

Likewise, my pure, fragrant greetings

be upon him whenever a servant stands in the deep darkness of night,

Upon him as long as a servant stands in the darkness of night,

لله وهو كئيبٌ خائفٌ وَجلٌ

لله وهو كئيبٌ خائفٌ وَجلٌ

من الذنوبِ حزين القلبِ ذو ألمِ

من الذنوبِ حزين القلبِ ذو ألمِ

for God, while he is sorrowful, fearful, and apprehensive,

Frightened, anxious, and afraid before Allah,

because of sins, sad at heart and full of pain.

With a sorrowful heart, full of pain and grief.
