وصدَّق قبل قولهم

وصدَّق قبل قولهم

وزكَّ بعد فعلهم

وزكَّ بعد فعلهم

And affirm their words beforehand,

and commend their deeds afterward.

ألم تر كيف بوأهم

ألم تر كيف بوأهم

ذراه كرامةً لهم

ذراه كرامةً لهم

Have you not seen how He lodged them

in His shelter, as an honor to them,

وأبرك فيل إبرهة

وأبرك فيل إبرهة

غداة أراد فلهم

غداة أراد فلهم

and made Abraha's elephant kneel

the morning he sought to rout them?

هداك الله تنصره

هداك الله تنصره

على من قد أضلهم

على من قد أضلهم

May God guide you to champion Him

against those whom He has led astray.

وأطلع شمس عزمك كي

وأطلع شمس عزمك كي

تقلص بعد ظلهم

تقلص بعد ظلهم

And raise the sun of your resolve, so that

you may then shorten their shadow,

وتفتح باب صدهمِ

وتفتح باب صدهمِ

وتكسر عنه قفلهم

وتكسر عنه قفلهم

and open the gate they have barred,

and break their lock off it,

وتتْبعَ بعضَهُم بعضاً

وتتْبعَ بعضَهُم بعضاً

كما من كان قبلهُمُ

كما من كان قبلهُمُ

and make some of them follow others,

as with those who came before them:

سبيل المُؤثرينَ على

سبيل المُؤثرينَ على

سبيلِ الّله سُبُلَهُم

سبيلِ الّله سُبُلَهُم

such is the path of those who prefer, over

God's path, their own paths.
