يا أرحم الخلق يوم الحشر والنّدمِ

يا أرحم الخلق يوم الحشر والنّدمِ

ارحم عُبيدَك يا ذا الطّول والنِّعمِ

ارحم عُبيدَك يا ذا الطّول والنِّعمِ

O most merciful to creation on the Day of Gathering and Remorse,

O most merciful of creation on the day of resurrection and regret

Have mercy on Your humble servant, O possessor of bounty and blessings.

Have mercy on Your servants, O You of great kindness and blessings

إني تَوسّلتُ بالمختارِ ملجئنا

إني تَوسّلتُ بالمختارِ ملجئنا

الطاهرِ المجتبى من خيرةِ الأممِ

الطاهرِ المجتبى من خيرةِ الأممِ

Indeed, I have appealed through the Chosen One, our refuge,

I implore You by the Chosen One, our refuge

The pure one, the elect, from the finest of nations,

The Pure, the Chosen One from the best of nations

إليكَ من سيئاتي إنّها عظُمتْ

إليكَ من سيئاتي إنّها عظُمتْ

يا واحداً لم يزل فرداً ولم يقمِ

يا واحداً لم يزل فرداً ولم يقمِ

To You for refuge from my misdeeds, for they have grown grave.

From my grave sins, which have indeed become great

O One, ever unique, who has not arisen.

O One, eternally Unique, never plural or multiple

عليه منه صلاةٌ كلّما طلعتْ

عليه منه صلاةٌ كلّما طلعتْ

شمسٌ وما خُطّ في الأوراقِ بالقلمِ

شمسٌ وما خُطّ في الأوراقِ بالقلمِ

Upon him be a blessing from Him whenever there rises

Upon him be prayers whenever the sun rises

A sun, and whenever something is inscribed on pages with the pen.

And whatever is written by pen on paper

فهو الشفيعُ الذي أرجو النَّجاةَ به

فهو الشفيعُ الذي أرجو النَّجاةَ به

من الجحيمِ إذْ الكُفّارِ كالحمَمِ

من الجحيمِ إذْ الكُفّارِ كالحمَمِ

For he is the intercessor through whom I hope for deliverance

For he is the intercessor through whom I hope for salvation

From Hell, when the unbelievers are like charcoal.

From the hellfire when the unbelievers are like burning coals
